Well, global warming ending the world was never compatible with Revelation anyway, so I never really believed it was such a big deal.

Zoe: In your three-year-old analogy, isn't it the three-year-olds who are sinning in the first place by hating you? It is not your fault they hate you. I'm sure you would want them to love you...without bribery. In fact, if you have to bribe them ...

What you say is true, about the non-elect being, well, worthless and sad. Pitiable even. Why do they exist? I've often pondered that. But then, why do they exist anyway, even if Calvinism is not true? It's not like God doesn't already know they wo...

Even if Calvinists were right, and the only people who could be saved were people God chose to save, my aforementioned statement would still be true. God is omniscient and omnipotent, right? So one could argue (not saying I believe this, but one ...

Eternal damnation is NOT the fault of a Calvinist. It is not the fault of God. Is it even really a fault? I mean, it is a bad thing, yes, but it is also just. If it's anyone's fault, it is the fault of the soul choosing to be damned and Satan... ...

Interesting story. Not sure it's all Biblical, though I did see your verse at the end. What in Scripture makes you think Judas Iscariot was saved?

Just to be clear, I don't think He will send us ALL to Hell. But I don't think He will save us ALL either. But I see your point in your last paragraph. Oh, yes, every tongue will bow and confess that Jesus is Lord, but not everyone will do it wil...

Justin: I suppose you have a point. God has a right to be a liar if He wants to be. We can't judge Him for that. Still, if He were a liar, He wouldn't be God, and thus not worthy of worship...*must think about this* Maybe I did not read carefully...

Satan: Powerless Compared to God and God's Children!

Just by living, just by existing, just by fighting Satan, we glorify God. We, those in the process of being healed from depression, are not useless in the Kingdom. We ruin Satan's day because he comes against us so hard, and we are still here and still God's. I don't know about you all, but I think ruining Satan's day is a good use of my time! *grin*

We've already won if we don't give up! We are on God's side. God is unchanging. God will be the victor in the end, so He is already the victor now… Continue

The Dullness

The Dullness

She sat there and stared, her eyes dull and glassy. She sighed. Her feelings were as dull as her eyes, like a knife that has been used too much. Her thoughts were slow, and to reach each one was like swimming through molasses. Sometimes it was too much of an effort to reach them, and they flitted away from her on the breeze that brushed her ash blond hair across her face. She sat on the porch and stared at the lovely garden and evergreen trees, not really enjoying them at all.

Unchanging

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. ~Hebrews 13:8

God cannot change because God is perfect. Perfection is an absolute (one cannot be more or less perfect). He is absolute love, an absolute victor, absolute everything. He is also eternal, meaning He is outside of time. Time has no effect on Him. It does not cause Him to change.

Thus, whatever we do, He loves us completely, unconditionally, and absolutely. Because He cannot change, and because He cannot change, His love can… Continue
