Haven't seen the movie, but I sure can understand you feelings.

i thought it was decent. of course it wouldn't b exactly the same as the book but the point is that the message got out there. im thankful these movies are being made in a time when vampire movies r far too popular. i would hav liked susan to b younger to show more innocense but oh well, can't hav it all.

i was thinking about seeing the movie, but i am starting to change my mind because of how many bad ratings it is getting.

I enjoyed the movie. i haven't ever watched a movie that's better than the book, because books have more detail, but i think that it was good. I agree with Savannah. I think that the movie was decent. :D

The whole thing was messed up they took out Jesus he is the most important character! Besides they barely followed any of the book. They made it so it was just one house where the killings happened. The whole thing sucked they could have followed the story line so easily but no.

well, you see, they have to cut alot out of a movie because it can only last like two hours where as a book can last as long as you would like. They also tweak alot of things for the theatrical element. I totally agree though. The movie fell short. It was decent though.

The problem is that it is a Christian film. Very few Christian films in this genre turn out very good because of the lack of funding and good actors. The script and idea can be great, but Christian filmography is a baby field. Secular movies have a huge leg up in the industry, and Christians can't compete yet. The few Christian books that get put into movies to become hits are all done by secular companies that happen to keep all the faith-based elements in tact (think The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Ring). If you expect a typical Hollywood thriller, you'll be disappointed, because there is just not a very good budget for most Christian thrillers.

I don't think so. However, we need to have choice to truly do good. Why else would there have been a forbidden tree in the garden of Eden. So, we don't need to see evil, we just have to have the option of choosing it.
