I am just curious what everyone is working with. To this point, I have always used Microsoft Word.

I am wondering if there are better tools others are using? I had never really thought much of this before just now, thus the thread.

I tend to use Microsoft Works, but this is only cause Word doesn't work for me. I am not sure if there's any better word processors out there.

I use Microsoft Works Word Processor. There are some decent programs other than that, some specifically designed for smoothing out the writing process. YWriter is a good example. I used it for a while, but it turns out, I prefer writing freely, without the restrictions that some novel-specific writing software can impose.

I use Microsoft Word too... the only thing I don't like is how when I want to spell something diffrently to make it sound a certain way, for instance "Kinda" or "ya'll", it says it is spelled wrong and puts up the red line and yada yada... It would say that was spelled wrong too.

I use Pages on my Mac. It has a cool 'Comment' function that allows me to make a comment on a word or paragraph, etc. The comments are displayed on the left side of the window. This is handy in case I need to come back to a certain section later.
