Writing Accountability Thread -AKA Therapy for Procrastinators

Any writers here?

Twas the best of times, the worst of times;
Twas mystery, suspense, and the great romance;
Twas horror and mirth; silence and dancing--

And they named such....

The Bard's Song,
The Tale,
The Yarn, and the Legend--
All fall to one:
The Teller's League.

And since occasionally we're all in need of encouragement, come over: Tips for keeping pace, wordcount strategies, character building, world building...Finishing and editing the things...

Speak your woes,
The writer knows
The best tales are always in the throes.

So, I'm working on my first novel. The idea kind of just came to me a little over a week ago, and I'm now over 3000 words. Now that school's back in full swing though, I'm starting to slow down a bit. I'm getting too busy for writing! :(

I added a good page or so to Betrayed last week, but other than that, I haven't done much since I last posted here. I think I'll drive myself crazy if I read through the last scene of every story one more time...

I know what you mean Seth. With Winter Break and the snow day I just had, I was able to focus on my first novel that I will actually stick with when I'm done. I found some great ideas in a book called "A Novel Idea". It helped me a lot and I found a twenty-fifth hour in my day (a very good idea for young writers like us). I highly recommend it.

So, he wrote that letter over a year ago? Or he's talking to him now about a letter he wrote a year ago? I think the letter is bull crap, but that's just me.

I had my two sons in public school until sixth and fourth grades (two years ago). I wasn't homeschooled. Our school district (a rural one in NY) was the primary reason we decided to try it, after having many of our friends at church suggest it. Bot…

Well, it all depends and every situation is unique. In Thailand, a lot of people have never even heard of homeschooling and can't really wrap their heads around it. There are little to no resources for homeschoolers, but at the same time little to n…
