This thread is devoted to the praise and adoration of God. This includes sharing answered prayers, miraculous experience, and words of praise. As with the Prayers and Concerns thread, please only post praises here; no discussions or chatting.
Praise the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD .

I love that one Chandor. :)
I praise the Lord for a wonderful worship service this morning. Our church is 10 years old today and we had a birthday party of sorts. It was so awesome.
God, THANK YOU for what you're doing and about to do at my school! I feel like this whole week in particular has been so perfectly orchestrated for me to talk to the right people, be in the right place at the right time, for these things to all come find ME... and I can hardly believe where I am now! I found the people on campus praying on the same track as me, and we're meeting up to pray for REVIVAL on campus every week... this is so unbelievably awesome. I feel like I've finally found the spiritual community I've been missing on campus for the past 2 years. So many answered prayers all at once. HA!!!
And we all feel very strongly like God is doing something new in this student body... he's revealing stuff, atmospheres are beginning to shift... something big is coming.

I've been reminiscing about my Grandpa -- lately. With my wife's father going to meet Jesus soon -- my heart turns to my own grandpa who died when I was 12. I would often walk into their kitchen and find my grandpa humming or singing one of these 3 songs as he was cooking something up. Their kitchen was a warm place always with some fresh bread, rolls, or pie that had just been baked.
My grandpa loved to sing about Jesus -- he really was the first person who I recognised who had an intimate loving relationship with Jesus. Even though I was only 10 and 11 at the time -- it was easy to tell how much my grandpa loved Jesus.
I think I may have just had the happiest moment of my life.
All day the rehab doctor has told us to try to get my mom to practice speaking, even though she can't make any sounds because of the tracheotomy. Many times when she's getting ready to say something my mom would lick her lips, which is important to know.
So all day we've been asking her, "can you say this or this?" and she wasn't really responding but then my dad said, "How about praise the Lord? Can you say praise the Lord?" She looked at us for a minute and then looked at the nurse who was in the room and licked her lips and lip synced very clearly, "Praise the Lord". Its the first time she has ever "said" something this clear and this much like before. And then just a moment ago a pastor asked her to say something in Thai and she did too, but her first words were praise the Lord.
My oldest son is in the 6th grade and I've homeschooled him from the beginning. When we started kindergarten, we didn't know what was wrong with him, but we knew if he was in the public school system, it would be difficult for him. He had tons of 'b…
So, he wrote that letter over a year ago? Or he's talking to him now about a letter he wrote a year ago?
I think the letter is bull crap, but that's just me.

I had my two sons in public school until sixth and fourth grades (two years ago). I wasn't homeschooled.
Our school district (a rural one in NY) was the primary reason we decided to try it, after having many of our friends at church suggest it. Bot…

(Yeah, all my friends in Georgia say the weather bites big time!)
It isn't cold out... It's sub-freezinf! Congratulations! You just started a new Ice Age!

Well, it all depends and every situation is unique. In Thailand, a lot of people have never even heard of homeschooling and can't really wrap their heads around it. There are little to no resources for homeschoolers, but at the same time little to n…
