I'm planning on it, but I haven't even outlined my novel idea or anything. Meant to start last month, but didn't.
Are you in? If so, tell us: your genre, if you've written a novel before, if you need accountability.
You can have buddies on the NaNo site, and you can see their word count progress. Last year, Leanna graciously allowed us to use a chat room to have Word Wars in. It really helped me out the times I did it.
I'm in for this year. (: I'm really excited. I had such a good experience last year. (Thank you Leanna! for everything for you did. <3 you) I'm writing a novel about a couple who are in love but the timing isn't right. And that's all I know about the story. I need to do some plotting and brainstorming.
I have a NaNo account. Same name here and there. (:
And, well, hoping this thread will keep me accountable. (:
I'm in. My name on there is . . . hope you're ready for it . . . DvineJoy. Heh, who woulda thought?
Though I should be starting college classes at the end of the month. So depending on the work load--only 3 classes, but all the work in half the time--I may have to pull out.
I've got something sorta planned to write. It'll be interesting to see where it goes. This is the first time I'll be participating in NaNo. I've written about 50,000 words before so I know the ups and downs of it, and accountability would be GREAT!
I just might be in. Despite all that's going on, I've got tons of idle time on my hands just perfect for writing. I'm dying for activities I can do in a hospital room.
Word wars are where we set a time limit, like say 5 minutes and then everyone types at lightning fast speeds and we see who can get the most words. It's lots of fun and offers a really great boost, especially if you're lagging or are a compulsive editor(both of which I have been known for).
Oh and forgot to mention that my genre is fantasy and I did Nano last year. I'm debating between continuing the novel I started in nano last year or starting a new one. The one I started last year is a mega-novel that I'm progressively working on, but I'm thinking it might be nice to take a break from that one and do something different for awhile. Not sure yet.
I would love to do this, but I really don't know if I'll be able to find the time. I'm bouncing a few ideas around--thrillers, mostly--but we'll have to see...
I think I'm going to be in! I'm busier than I ever have been, and it'll make my girlfriend a bit grumpy to lose me this much more often, but I think on the whole everybody will enjoy it if I try for number three. I have absolutely no idea of plot, genre, or anything else yet. Sometimes it takes me a few days into November to get anything going, anyways. Whee.
I need to go check out that site. I wonder how many friends I have still on there.

I don't think so. However, we need to have choice to truly do good. Why else would there have been a forbidden tree in the garden of Eden. So, we don't need to see evil, we just have to have the option of choosing it.
