I'm getting really excited about this new ABC series coming in the fall. The teasers during the season finale of LOST piqued my interest, but now that I've done more research on it, I can't wait. (And I know I was saying the same thing about Fringe this time last year, but I really don't see how they could screw up a story like this.)
For 2 minutes and 17 seconds, every human on the earth blacks out. During that time, they have a vision of themselves 6 months in the future. They have to figure out what this is, what caused it, and what it means before April 29--when the future they saw will finally catch up with them.
The trailers look epic. It's shot in HD. David Goyer (of Dark Knight, among others) is behind it. So is one of the producer from 24.

It's loosely based off a 1999 novel of the same name. They actually enlisted the help of the author, Robert J. Sawyer, in re-writing and revamping it for today's television audience, and he likes what they've done with it. If an author likes a book-to-movie adaptation, that says a lot, doesn't it? I'll be reading the book soon and hopefully watching this when it debuts Thursday, September 24.
