I've been having this dream for a while now, and I was wondering if anyone here has had one similar? If so please share. Or is you have any comments, feel free to leave them.
I'm writing it in third person because that's how I see it in my dream.
She was standing in a forest. She looked to her left, Darkness as far as she could see. Not darkness as you or I would imagine, but a tangible Darkness swirling and writing through the trees. She turned to her right. Here Light was everywhere. A revealing Light where darkness could not hide, where lies where laid bare and truth was evident.
She turned to face the Darkness. Promises of power, fulfilled desires, and riches beyond imagining echoed through her mind. All ploys to draw her in. All pleasures of the flesh tugging her in it’s direction.
She drew herself away from the poisonous whisperings and turned her face to the Light. One promise sounded loudly in her heart. Love. The greatest gift of all. Love beyond understanding. Unconditional and as unending as the sea. This is what her heart truly desired. To take in that love. She began walking toward it through the trees, leaving the Darkness farther behind with every step. She did not look back now. She knew what she wanted and it drew her. She was walking faster, desperation quickening her stride. Then she began to run. Faster and faster she went, traveling toward the ever-increasing Light. The longing deep within her became a physical ache to reach that Light. She was moving faster than humanly possible, out running the wind. The edge of the forest was just coming into view. She was nearly there. She burst through the trees to find a cliff’s edge, and beyond that a swirling mass of that Light that she so urgently sought. She knew that she could be happy here basking in the Light's warm glow. She could feel it's heat on her face and arms, but it was not enough. Instead of slowing, she picked up her pace and jumped straight off the cliff, plunging headlong into the Light.
Instead of a falling sensation, as she had anticipated, she felt as though she were being lifted up, drawn ever higher into the clouds. This was God, her Creator. Love moved through her in waves leaving her breathless, but she had no need of breath. He was the breath in her lungs, and now she breathed deeply taking Him in. Laughter burst from her lips, and tears -not tears of sorrow, but of unimaginable joy- ran unnoticed down her face.
"I love you so, my child." said the voice that belonged to the Light.
"I love you too Papa"
And then I wake up....
