I've been having this dream for a while now, and I was wondering if anyone here has had one similar? If so please share. Or is you have any comments, feel free to leave them.

I'm writing it in third person because that's how I see it in my dream.

She was standing in a forest. She looked to her left, Darkness as far as she could see. Not darkness as you or I would imagine, but a tangible Darkness swirling and writing through the trees. She turned to her right. Here Light was everywhere. A revealing Light where darkness could not hide, where lies where laid bare and truth was evident.

She turned to face the Darkness. Promises of power, fulfilled desires, and riches beyond imagining echoed through her mind. All ploys to draw her in. All pleasures of the flesh tugging her in it’s direction.

She drew herself away from the poisonous whisperings and turned her face to the Light. One promise sounded loudly in her heart. Love. The greatest gift of all. Love beyond understanding. Unconditional and as unending as the sea. This is what her heart truly desired. To take in that love. She began walking toward it through the trees, leaving the Darkness farther behind with every step. She did not look back now. She knew what she wanted and it drew her. She was walking faster, desperation quickening her stride. Then she began to run. Faster and faster she went, traveling toward the ever-increasing Light. The longing deep within her became a physical ache to reach that Light. She was moving faster than humanly possible, out running the wind. The edge of the forest was just coming into view. She was nearly there. She burst through the trees to find a cliff’s edge, and beyond that a swirling mass of that Light that she so urgently sought. She knew that she could be happy here basking in the Light's warm glow. She could feel it's heat on her face and arms, but it was not enough. Instead of slowing, she picked up her pace and jumped straight off the cliff, plunging headlong into the Light.

Instead of a falling sensation, as she had anticipated, she felt as though she were being lifted up, drawn ever higher into the clouds. This was God, her Creator. Love moved through her in waves leaving her breathless, but she had no need of breath. He was the breath in her lungs, and now she breathed deeply taking Him in. Laughter burst from her lips, and tears -not tears of sorrow, but of unimaginable joy- ran unnoticed down her face.

"I love you so, my child." said the voice that belonged to the Light.

"I love you too Papa"

And then I wake up....

*sniff* God is SO good. :)

I've never dealt with prophetic dreams myself, but this sure sounds like one. (Prophetic not as in future telling but as giving a Kingdom revelation.)

Recurring dreams require subjective analysis. Translation: what does this dream mean to you? How does it make you feel? The deeper you think on those questions, the more telling their answers will be.

I will say that many times the characters we see in dreams represent ourselves, even if they resemble other people we know.

Hmm, your dream sounds like several story ideas that have come into my head. I enjoyed reading it. (:

that was my answer Spy. *glares* you stole it. nah. Spy and I have discussed this in the past.
the feelings in the dream are very important. i would say the feelings are even more important than the subject matter that is presented before you. so kudos to you for acknowledging alot of the feelings in that dream and since you said that this dream is recurring Spy is right. I would sit down with Jesus and discuss this dream with Him. Ask Him what He may be trying to say to you? That is more important than what we think. Though I do enjoy reading dreams that are interesting. : D

if there is a pickle that is flying towards you in a dream. the question after you wake up should not be what does the pickle represent but how did that pickle make you feel? lets say that you felt nothing when you saw that pickle flying towards you...that is where you should start. i know it sounds silly but what he said is true.

Are you prone to bad dreams, KC?

That sounds like an amazing dream. I tend to have dreams where I am fighting off darkness or something or someone scary that is out to harm me or someone in my life. And many times I am reaching for God or a place of safety or light. I never remember getting caught by the darkness, but I usually wake up when I reach a point where I can see or hear the light or God reaching for me. I can never remember much about God reaching for me, just remember very clearly that he did save me from harm.

Dreams of that nature are often a subconscious recap or summary of recent events or undercurrents in your conscious life.

I always seem to be exploring or going somewhere in my dreams. And never quite being satisfied with finding everything I'm looking for.

That one's a toss up.
You may need to consciously seek more. Or you may be daydreaming too much and not focused on the present.

Or could be something else entirely. I'd need a specific account to say more.

That's an amazing dream. It's makes me want to make a story out of it. Can I, please?

The person in the dream is me. It's just like I'm watching myself...kinda weird. It only makes me long for heaven even more.....
