The Circle/A Ted Dekker Community

The official online community of New York Times best-selling author Ted Dekker.

A change has been put into place that will affect all new members as well as a minor change to all existing members. In the long run will keep the community safer and less prone to spammer attacks.

For all current members, if you go in to edit your profile settings, you will be asked to answer one additional question. The question is: Anti-Spam Question: Name the first Ted Dekker book you have read. You will be required to answer that before you can save your changes and exit your profile. Please answer it honestly and not with random characters or your account could accidentally be deleted.

Due to the onslaught of spam accounts we have received this week alone, all new members are required to be approved by The Administration staff, which includes myself and the moderation team. The signup process includes both a CAPTCHA as well as a couple of Anti-Spam measures that must be passed in order to be approved by a member of our team.

You may ask "How can I help?"

Thank you for asking. If, along your daily browsing of The Circle, you run across a spammer account that we missed, please alert the mods by clicking on The Big Red Button on the right margin of every page. Tell us the member name, or better yet, the URL of the member profile. We will take care of it as soon as humanly possible.

We apologize to anyone that ran across one of these spammers and hope that these new measures make our community more enjoyable for all legitimate members.

Please note: if you have not read a Ted Dekker book, that doesn't mean your account will be deleted. Simply answer with "I haven't read one yet" or something similar that looks like a real person and not a bot wrote it.

So, he wrote that letter over a year ago? Or he's talking to him now about a letter he wrote a year ago? I think the letter is bull crap, but that's just me.

I had my two sons in public school until sixth and fourth grades (two years ago). I wasn't homeschooled. Our school district (a rural one in NY) was the primary reason we decided to try it, after having many of our friends at church suggest it. Bot…

Well, it all depends and every situation is unique. In Thailand, a lot of people have never even heard of homeschooling and can't really wrap their heads around it. There are little to no resources for homeschoolers, but at the same time little to n…
