Borderlands
So this game officially came out today. And though i bought it without the input of reviewers, it is important to note that it's getting good reviews. Namely, Game Informer giving it a 9.25 and 9.5, respectively, as well as IGN giving it an 8.8. That being said, after buying the game, i played on XBox Live with my brother and a friend. Six hours later, we were wondering where the time went. I can't speak for the single-player experience (though i hear good stuff), but the co-op is ridiculously fun.

Just wikied it. No, I'm thinking of the right one. It looks awesome. Perhaps I'll get it for Christmas for my 360, but it's down on the list under Tekken 6.

I'm on the 360. It's such a fun game. I happen to be off work today and played it a couple more hours this morning. And can't wait to play it some more in an hour or two. I cannot say enough about it. It's not a perfect game, by any means, but it is so addictive (in as good a way as something addictive can be).

I'm sure you're aware of this, but to clarify, it is a game that is up to 4 players. If you only have 1-2 friends to play with, that's fine, too. If you want to play by yourself, that's fine. Again, just to clarify.
I have yet to play with three other people, but i've played with two (being that i have a rule about only playing with people i know) others and it was a ton of fun. Running slowly is a lot of fun, too, though.
However, the storyline is paper thin. I beat it today and it was anticlimactic at best. Still, that doesn't alter my opinion, which is that this is the most fun i've had playing a game in quite some time. It won't win any awards, but it's probably my favorite game of the year.

There will be DLC coming out this Tuesday, if anybody's interested. Sounds pretty awesome. It's going to feature zombies.

Borderlands is fun but the online play doesn't work well for digital copy owners yet because the patch isn't available. I get timed out several times.

That's entirely possible. I have a hard copy, so i haven't run into that. There's been a time or two when i've had a friend disconnect, but i'm quite certain it's always been his internet connection.
Also, there is new Borderlands DLC coming out by the end of December (on 360) or early January (on PS3, not sure when PC will get it). It's called Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, and appears to be a couple new arenas. More importantly, it adds a bank feature and two missions will reward the player with skill points, effectively raising the level cap.

The patch came out for Steam digital copy users but the game crashes so it's useless at the moment. And that's the game I want to play the most right now.

I don't think so. However, we need to have choice to truly do good. Why else would there have been a forbidden tree in the garden of Eden. So, we don't need to see evil, we just have to have the option of choosing it.
