I'm shocked no one's made a thread about this amazing piece of art....*rolls eyes* Seems everyone starts their threads like that on here.

But seriously. This game looks to be amazing. The level of detail Ubi has put into the game is amazing. The ability to listen to the game in full Italian dialect with English subtitles makes it sound like a Mel Gibson film, which is never a bad thing. Also, the ability to look up each of the locations and events in-game and read about them is also very exciting.

The gameplay changes also look nice. Armour and weapons to be purchased and swapped, a town to own, and bullets to shoot.

But really, look the game up youself. I'm in no mood to chatter on for pages about it.

Anyone pre-ordered it on here?

This game looks absolutely incredible. I told myself i'd only make one purchase this holiday season (went with Borderlands), but this game severaly tempts me to break that pledge.

I'm imagining this game will garner a fair amount of Game of the Year votes. But considering i'm still enjoying Borderlands, and my roommates have purchased Dragon Age and (are set to purchase) Left 4 Dead 2, i don't think i'm able to justify picking this game up any time in the immediate future.

This game is on the top of my watch list. It looks absolutely fantastic from what i've seen. Not sure if i'll be able to play it or not though because i couldn't play the first one on my pc. Although, for the Modern Warfare games, i could sorta play the first one but supposedly the second one will run better on my pc than the first. weird....

The first one was fun but repetitive. The best part of the game was the opening sequence before you actually did anything.

I never really found the first one to be repetitive. But i could see where some would think so, and that was a common complaint amongst consumers and reviewers alike.

That being said, it sounds like they've made a real effort to avoid that problem this time around.

Anyone finished it? Anyone even played it? The ending is actually disgusting bad on several levels. First of all, it's ridiculous. I'm going to spoil it, but you can live with it. It's so bad it deserves to be spoiled.

Essentially, we (the players) find out that God actually lives beneath the Vatican. And that "God" is actually the Greek Gods. And that the Greek Gods are actually aliens. It's really quite laughable.

Also, it bashes heavily on Christianity and every other religion. I quote the Pope in the game, talking about the Bible: "You think I believe a single word of that god-damned book? It, just like every other religious text written in the last ten thousand years, is nothing but a lie!"

I dunno, but I find that rather offensive. I'm actually quite glad I decided to rent it instead of purchasing it.

I know you prefaced that with a spoiler warning, but i'm wishing i hadn't read that. It's probably poorly executed, but i'm going to hold out hope that i like it.

As for the Christianity bashing, that doesn't really surprise me. The first had more than a fair share of it (though perhaps not as bad as the second).

I really can't see how anyone could possibly like the ending. It's just so contrived. It's painful.

And as for the Christian bashing in the first one, it was more directed towards the individuals within the church at the time. Which is quite fine, since the crusades were not exactly the most exemplary time for Christianity. Yes, there were a few lines that make you raise an eyebrow, but most of those were fairly ambiguous and could have several different implications.

First off, Aemornion, no offense, but I would say that the spoiler you wrote was poorly played. If one is going to do a spoiler, one should put a couple more blank lines between one paragraph and the spoiler.

Moving on. I've been watching and reading various reviews for this game, and I for one cannot wait to get it. I think I can sum up my hopes for this one by listing the four best new features.

1) You can swim! I couldn't begin to tell you how many times I had to restart an assassination because a stupid drunk pushed me into the water.

2) You have two hidden blades. That will be just plain cool!

3) You can blend with any crowd. Another irritating thing about the first one was looking for a roving group of monks.

4) The hidden things(the flags in #1) actually mean something! You get rewards for finding the feathers, codexs, etc...

Anyway, it's going to be a great game, I hope. And I hope it's not aliens.

...hope all you want...

A simply Google search will confirm things you may not want to know. i will not be buying this game for sure.

I'm sorry if you start reading posts in the middle.

Also, feathers are just as pointless as flags. You know what you get for all 100 feathers? *SPOILER*

A cape that makes everyone want to kill you all the time. Um, hooray?

(Note the extra spaces.)

Well, hey, at least it's something, not just the feeling of a job well done.

Damn, that really sucks because the rest of the game look incredible and much better than the first game.

I don't think so. However, we need to have choice to truly do good. Why else would there have been a forbidden tree in the garden of Eden. So, we don't need to see evil, we just have to have the option of choosing it.
